Welcome The houses Rental information Winter in Algarve remote working surrounds golf photos Contact Casa Velha (4p) Casa Velha is our newest addition, built in 2020. So her name 'Casa Velha', which means the 'old house', would actually be incorrect. But when you consider that this house is the most old part of our Quinta (and also the most dilapidated part when we bought it), the name is correct again! A funny fact: a long time ago the small bedroom was the henhouse. It is a small house of 43m2 with two double bedrooms, a bathroom with sink and shower, a separate toilet and a living-kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, large refrigerator with freezer, oven, coffee maker, etc. The large terrace, which faces west, has a natural stone sofa with comfortable seat cushions of over 12 meters long with a built-in seating area. Of course you will also find a dining table and a barbecue on the terrace. The five olive trees surrounding the terrace provide a cozy atmosphere and also provide shade in the summer months. In the photos below you can see that the garden is still in 'rough condition'. In the beginning of 2021, beautiful plants will be used here to dress up and make the garden more beautiful. Ilha da Culatra back There are 2 ferries from the port of Olhão. 1 leaves for the village (and island) Armona, and the other goes to the island of Farol and Culatra. ​ Farol and Culatra are actually two villages which are situated on the same island. The ferry will first stop in Culatra and then it will go to Farol. Farol is on the far West and Culatra on the East, both villages have restaurants and small shops. Surroundings and activities Cabana do Campo is a half hour drive from Faro airport near the town of Moncarapacho. The cabana has a favorable location with regard to roads. Within two minutes you are on the highway towards Faro/Albufeira or the other way to Tavira and Spain. You are also in ten minutes in Olhão where there are larger shops and supermarkets. The immediate vicinity of the farm is an old agricultural area with beautiful old olive trees. There are several farms and houses on the path. This creates a cozy atmosphere in the neighborhood and yet you can enjoy the peace and privacy. ​ The cabana overlooks the hills of the Algarve where you can enjoy mountain biking, hiking, motorcycling, etc. Within five minutes you can drive into the higher hills with a very nice view! ​ If you drive further south you will come to the nearby village of Moncarapacho. Here you will find a large supermarket, post office, pharmacy, ATM and petrol station. There are also a number of restaurants here where you can enjoy a delicious meal. It is about a 10-minute drive to the nearest beach in Fuseta. Here you will find a nice beach club and several bars. You can also take a water-taxi from there to one of the islands. The Algarve is known for its many golf courses. The climate in Portugal ensures that you can play golf all year round on the most beautiful courses. Casa da Vida Casa da Vida is the newest part of the farm and is therefore spacious with a private terrace and very large garden. The house is on one floor and has two bedrooms, one of which is very spacious. In this room it is possible to add one extra bed. This makes the house suitable for up to five people. The bathroom has a walk-in shower, sink, toilet and bidet. The living-dining kitchen has a sitting area, large dining table and an extensive kitchen. Booking conditions Payment The booking is only final by transferring 50% of the total amount within one week after the reservation. The second and final payment (50%) must be made 6 weeks before the start of the rental period. For bookings where the rental period starts within 6 weeks, the total amount must be paid in once. When paying the deposit (and/or the entire amount) you accept our rental conditions . We recommend that you take out travel and cancellation insurance yourself. ​ Tourist tax Our rental prices are excluding 'Tourist tax'. €2,- p.p.p.n. for the maximum of 5 nights between May and October €1,- p.p.p.n. for the maximum of 5 nights between November and April ​Children under 16 years are exempt. ​ Cancellation Policy In the event of a cancellation by the tenant, the owner is entitled to the following compensation: Cancellation must take place in writing (can also be done electronically). Up to 6 weeks before the arrival date: 50% of the total amount. Within 6 weeks to 2 weeks before the arrival date: 75% of the total amount.
