Praia do Barril back Praia do Barril is a beach with history. In the past, the tuna caught here was brought ashore and transported to the mainland by a small train. This train is now used as passenger transport. But you can also walk along the railway and you will be there within 15 minutes on foot. ​ The anchors as seen here in the photo, are a tribute to the fishermen who died during fishing. An anchor has been placed for every fisherman who died while fishing. ​ There are several restaurants at the beach and there is also a toilet and shower. Lifeguards are also present here in the summer months. The beach is huge so there is plenty of space, even during the high season. When you walk a little out of the crowded place to the East, there is an unofficial nudist part. ​ This beach is easily accessible via N125 and is located between Luz de Tavira and Tavira. location

Previous Casa Velha 2 - 4 persons Next Casa Velha is our newest addition, built in 2020. So her name 'Casa Velha', which means the 'old house', would actually be incorrect. But when you consider that this house is the most old part of our Quinta (and also the most dilapidated part when we bought it), the name is correct again! A funny fact: a long time ago the small bedroom was the henhouse. It is a small house of 43m2 with two double bedrooms, a bathroom with sink and shower, a separate toilet and a living-kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, large refrigerator with freezer, oven, coffee maker, etc. The large terrace, which faces west, has a natural stone sofa with comfortable seat cushions of over 12 meters long with a built-in seating area. Of course you will also find a dining table and a barbecue on the terrace. The five olive trees surrounding the terrace provide a cozy atmosphere and also provide shade in the summer months. Quinta da Vida es una vieja granja que antiguamente servia para la prensa de aceitunas. La Quinta se encuentra en el este del Algarve y está cerca de Moncarapacho, a media hora del aeropuerto de Faro. Hay cinco casas de vacaciones en la Quinta. Las caracteristics auténticas de la Quinta se combinan con todos los aspectos de una casa de vacaciones moderna. Previous Casa da Vida 2 - 4 persons Next Casa da Vida is the newest part of the Quinta. For that reason the living area is a bit bigger then the other houses. The big private terrace is facing West and has a lot of sun and shadow during the whole year. The house has two double bedrooms and one bathroom with shower, sink, toilet and bidet. There is a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, large fridge and an oven etc. The living area has a nice couch and a large dining table. The entire house is one level so in every room there is floorheating, including the bathroom. In the two bedrooms there is airconditioning for the warmer days. ​ On the private terrace you will find a loungeset, a barbecue and a dining table. There is plenty of space in the garden and underneath the large carob-tree you will find enough shade in summer time. Welcome The houses Rental information Winter in Algarve remote working surrounds golf photos Contact Winter long stay holidays Would you like to escape from the cold and dreamy changeable winter weather and spend a little longer making the most of a warmer climate? Then a long-stay holiday in Quinta de Vida may be just the thing for you. During the low season (November through to March) a special reduced rate applies when you rent one of our accommodations for a minimum period of 4 weeks. ​ Here, in the Algarve, the winter climate is agreeable indeed. The daytime temperature, usually between 14 and 18 degrees C, is perfect for being out and about. Even on days that to the local population pass as extremely cold, the temperature rarely dips below 10 degrees centigrade. However, whereas the summer months are very dry, in winter there is more likelihood of rain. ​ Our houses have been designed to offer a high degree of comfort in summer and winter. All four accommodations have underfloor heating throughout the ground floor (including the bedrooms and bathrooms). The kitchens are fully equipped with dishwasher, induction cooker, oven and large fridge/freezer – in short, home from home in terms of ease of living. In Casa Lagar and Casa Estábulo is possible to rearrange it the adjacent bedroom to provide more living space, should you so wish. Both houses then sleep 4 in their two double bedrooms. Casa da Vida and Casa Vaso have a comfortable living area and two bedrooms. ​ During the day there is always a sunny spot to be found on the private patio areas around the houses. ​ Bed, bath and kitchen linen is provided. Also a cleaning once every two weeks is included. prices The minimum amount of winter-rental is 4 weeks. ​ The prices per week for Casa Lagar and Casa Estábulo is €400,- for Casa da Vida it is €375,- and Casa Vaso is €350,- per week. Prices are included with all the linen, bedlinen will be changed once every two weeks, you can get clean towels whenever you want. Every two weeks we will clean the house. All the electricity and water (there is no gas) is included. Our winter rental prices are always based on a stay of 2 people. If you want to receive guests/family there will be a small extra charge of €10 per person per day. ​ On arrival you always have to pay a deposit of €300,- when you leave the house without any damages of course you will get you deposit back. ​

Bienvenue Gtes Informations sur la location Environments and activities golf photos Contact Casa Velha (4p) 'Casa Velha' est notre nouvelle extension, construite en 2020. Son nom Casa Velha, qui veut dire 'vieille maison', ne semble donc pas adéquat. Mais si on considère que ce gîte est la partie la plus ancienne de notre Quinta (et aussi la partie la plus délabrée quand on l'a achetée), ce nom est bien correct. Anecdote amusing: avant, la petite chambre était le poulailler. C'est un petit gîte de 43m2 comprenant deux chambres pour deux personnes, une salle de bains avec sink et douche, des toilettes séparées et une cuisine-séjour. La cuisine est équipée d'un lave-vaisselle, d'un grand refrigérateur avec congélateur, d'un four, d'une cafetière et cetera. La grande terrasse orientée ouest, dispose d'un banc en pierre naturelle de 12 mètres de long avec des coussins douillets et un coin salon intégré. Vous y trouverez bien sûr également une table à manger et une desserte barbecue. Les cinq oliviers autour de la terrasse créent une ambiance agréable et offrent également de l'ombre pendant les mois d'été. Il ya un parking private devant la maison. Ilha da Armona back You can reach Ilha Armona either on foot, via Ilha de Fuseta (about 4 km) or by ferry from the port of Olhão. after a walk of about 1 km you reach the beach. ​ tip: before you settle down on the sunbeds: drink the homemade sangria at the beach bar... or have a good lunch at Restaurant Lanacosta! Armona has sanitary facilities, lifeguards and first aid. Check the timetable for ferry times.
